TD5 Air Flow Meter
- Description
- Specifications
The TD5 engine is prone to having lack of power or a low rpm range power loss causing lag, This can sometimes be caused from a faulty or failed air flow meter/Maf. Changing the maf in some cases can restore power back to how it should be. OEM part number MHK100620.
You can make a simple test to see if your air flow meter is faulty with a very basic multi meter!. If you measure the voltage output from pin2 to chassis GND, a working maf should have near to 2 volts+ out when the engine is at idle speed which equates to 60kg/hr of air.
If you do not have within a small amount of 2 volts output then the air flow meter could be faulty or totally failed and needs replacing.
