TD5 EGR Blanking kit
It is quite common for people to bypass or blank off the Exhaust Gas Recirculation system on diesel cars.
The benefits of bypassing or blanking the EGR system will prevent dirty used exhaust gasses entering the engine and to reduce air inlet temperatures.
It will also help because the engine is using clean air to burn which contains more oxygen than half used hot air.
The EGR valve replacement pipe is made from a high quality laser cut aluminium base with an aluminium rolled edged pipe welded in for your intercooler hose to fit on to.
The EGR blanking plate is laser cut from 6mm mild steel.
Both parts of the kit are made from the same type of material as the ORIGINAL manifolds are.
This is so that when the engine heats up both materials expand and contract at the same rate, and therefore a perfect fit is guaranteed and no leaks will occur.
